Hey there! I am Jackalope founder and journalist Jack Jackson. I work with you to find and tell the compelling stories around your products, projects or people with film, sound and words.

I have 30 years of B2B corporate brand storytelling experience.

Authentic stories

Jackalope’s products focus more on authenticity and less on marketing. The real story means everything – at eye level with your target audience.

Through interviews, I get sources to reflect and bring your story up to a higher, society-wide level. The end result is authentic content, hitting the receiver’s emotions and intellect.

I put the people in the stories behind the technical parts. This brings credible, trustworthy testimonials and content that can live for years online and offline. The best stories and content will move a target audience emotionally, connect to their brains and even move them to take action.

I work with clients in Denmark and all over the world. I keep the deadlines and go with the flow.

I want to get away from the tendency to highly polish stories. My stories are professional but dive beneath the surface, searching for the truth. We want real situations, real quotes – not scripted stories. Let’s show the story as real as possible – without planning down to the last detail.

What do you get out of working with Jackalope?

There’s a great story behind every product, project, campaign or investment. It is not always obvious. My mission is to help you find and tell those stories – no matter how technical – and make them come alive. These stories should hit the receiver’s emotions and intellect. 

My stories help companies show their impact and brand value – both to the outside world and inside their own companies. Through videos, articles, podcasts, social media content, newsletters, etc., as well as with strategic creative consulting, I help cover several channels and target audiences with different versions of the same story.

Trained as journalist in USA

I earned my Master of Arts in feature writing at the world’s oldest school of journalism, the University of Missouri-Columbia. After a year of travel to New Zealand and the South Pacific, I spent a year as a freelance writer in New Orleans, Louisiana. I moved to Denmark in 1995 with my computer, mountain bike and cast iron skillet. I began specializing in B2B and corporate communication for Scandinavian-based, multinational companies.

As I built up a professional network in Denmark, I produced radio features for the DR – the Danish national broadcasting corporation. A 5-year stint as a “corporate storyteller” inside the world’s largest pump company, Grundfos, added video shooting and editing to my story packages. Several years of training and practice of putting all those skills together in new combinations has resulted in some fantastic creative projects.

I named my company Jackalope. Not many people have actually seen this mystical creature who roams the American prairies. When you work with me, you see one every day. 🙂
